"Sonovabitch," Liz growled. Her head was pounding and she needed to get up off of the floor. She brought her hand up to her forehead and cursed again. She felt the red stickiness of blood sliding down her face and groaned softly. After taking a moment to sit up, she realized that her head was bleeding quite profusely. Blinking a few times, she looked around for what caused her to fall and spotted it a moment later. A hot pink training roller skate. Lovely. She and Casey had been working hard to teach Lara to remember to put her toys away, and she had, it seemed... right under her chair. None of that mattered now. Liz was pretty sure she needed stitches after her glass coffee table had taken a chunk out of her forehead.
Just then, she heard a high pitched scream about three feet from her. She looked up and saw the toddler in front of her with her thumb pressed into her mouth. "WIZ! Your face has red," Lara cried out. "I not drawed on you!" She said loudly.
"No, but you did leave your toy - oh, forget it." She picked Lara up and went into the kitchen for a towel for her head, then called in to work.
"You bleed," the little redhead said.
"Yes," Liz replied. "Now we need to go to the hospital," she said.
"I take you!" The girl exclaimed, running to the door.
"Wonderful," Liz said with a heavy sigh as she followed Lara to the door.
